Careful selection of timber
We use only naturally and sustainably grown timber from the Dipterocarpacae and Shorea Assamica Species (Comprising Gurjan, Hollong & Makai). Compared to plantation grown timber. These species are matured, have high girth, tensile strength, density and elasticity.
Peeling
Peeling the logs like one would sharpen a pencil us not only better yields and more economical use of timber, but also an exponentially higher surface area from which the core and face it cut.This provides seamless unjointed. & structurally sound large width and long paneled veneers across the product.
Separation into face & core
The peeled venners are cut to remove knotsand gaps, and separated into aesthetically pleasing face veneer and structurally sound core venner. Our plywood is solid to the core -with high quality timber used on the inside and outside. This make them durable and with a high load bearing and screw holding capacity.
Drying
The veneers are dried in high temperatures to minimize moisture, making them resistant to water and extreme temperatures without swelling, shrinking or warping. This ensure dimensional stability.
Application of adhesive & GLP
Glue is applied to alternate layers of venners on both sides for secure bonding. We use the best quality phenol Formaldehyde (PF) resin for our Boiling Water Proof (BWP) & Boiling Water Resistant (BWR) products, and Melamine Urea Formaldehyde(MUF) resin for our Moisture Resistant(MR) products. Preservetives are applied with the GLP process for durability and resistance to insects right to the core.
Sanding & trimming
After pressing, the plywood is trimmed from all sides and both the surface are sanded down for a smooth, uniform, aesthetically sound appearance. Our plywood is not only known for its quality but also its finish and ease of installation.
Pressing
The assembled face and core are put through a hot press where, under immencse heat and pressure, the adhesive is cured and the layers are bonded together to form one strong sheet of plywood. Controlled pressing and regular checks and ensure that our products and free from delamination issues.
Core composition
The core is composed by gluing perpendicular layers of veneers together & is sandwiched between the two face veeners. The alternate arrangement of layers at right angles allows distributed strength, flexibility & improved mechanical properties in all directions. Unlike plantation timber, Our have long panels so no additional jointing is required. Metriculous care is taken to minimize gaps.
Preservative treatment
Our waterproof products are treated with preservative using vacuum-pressure impregnation to make them completely immune to insects and biological degradation.
Branding & dispatch
All our products are marked using a complex mix of custom hologram stickers and specially designed labels, screens and rollers to easily distinguish them from counterfeits. Our ply is available in thicknesses of 3.5mm to 25mm, and standard size of 8'x4', 8'x3', 7'x4', 7'x3' and 6'x4', 6'x3'. Custom specification are also possible.
